Why it works?

Your jaw is not deciding to do this. It is following an order from a neck that has been compressed forward for years.

A locked neck needs four things at once. Nuca does all four in one session.

26° TractionOpens the compressed space at the base of your skull and guides the curve back.
EMSForces the frozen muscle to contract and release, and switches off the signal driving your clench.
HeatFloods blood back into tissue that has been starved for years.
MassageWorks the surface tension loose on top, so what opens underneath stays open.

Do one without the other three and you are leaning on the door instead of opening it.

Will this work if my scans were normal, or I've never had any?

Yes. That is exactly who this is built for.

Imaging finds joint damage. When the problem is muscular, there is nothing on the scan to find, which is why clean results are so common with TMJ. And most women we hear from have never been imaged at all.

The tell is not on a screen. Worst in the mornings. Worse after a heavy week at a desk. A tight neck and shoulders alongside it. That is the muscular kind, and it is the more common one by far.

Is it safe? What does it feel like?

It is EMS, the same technology physical therapists have used for forty years. Aimed at the right spot for the first time.

The first session feels like a firm tingle, then a deep ache as the locked muscle starts to let go. Never sharp. You start on the lowest setting and work up until you feel a firm pulse, not a jolt. Most women settle in the middle and stay there.

Your crowns, fillings and dental work are not affected. The pulses work on muscle at the base of your skull, nowhere near your teeth.

How and when you use it?

Ten minutes, once a day. Most women do it in bed before sleep, because that is when it matters most. It switches the order off before you sleep on it.

Lie flat on your bed, on the floor, or on the couch with the TV on. The base is non-slip, so it stays where you put it. You do not hold anything and there is nothing to learn. You lie back and let it work.

The remote sits in your hand, so you are never reaching behind your own head to change a setting.

It packs flat into a weekend bag, so a trip does not cost you a week of progress.

What to expect?
Day 1A firm tingle and a deep ache where it presses in. No fireworks. That is the lock starting to give.
Day 3–5Most women notice their jaw is not clenched when they wake up.
Week 2Morning headaches and neck stiffness start dropping off.
Week 4The grinding stops or drops significantly.

The mornings unlock first. Then a few weeks in, most women stop counting bad days, because there are not enough of them left to count.

I will admit the electricity part scared me. I have three crowns and I pictured something zapping my head. It is nothing like that. It is a firm tingle and then a deep ache, like a knot being worked out. Two years of a night guard and I still woke up locked every morning. Now I open my mouth at the mirror and there is no crack. Just quiet.

Nine years of this and I have spent more on Botox than I want to say out loud. So no, I did not believe a $99 device was going to do anything. I lived on smoothies and soup because chewing set my jaw off. Two weeks in I ate a bagel. I stood in my kitchen and teared up over a bagel. Not one doctor ever checked my neck.

I kept waiting for it to wear off, because everything else did. My guard has been in the drawer since spring. At my checkup my dentist went over the wear chart twice and asked what I had changed. I used to wake at 3am with my jaw clamped shut and lie there until morning. I sleep through now and wake up loose instead of with a headache.

I have a drawer of things I used twice and gave up on, so I expected this to join them. It is ten minutes lying in bed with the TV on. That is the whole thing. On a bad morning I could not fit two fingers between my teeth. Last Friday I got four. I stood there at six in the morning with my eyes stinging.

The cause and the fix, in short

Your jaw was never the problem. Your neck is.

Years of forward-head posture crush the top of your spine and lock the small, deep muscles at the base of your skull. Locked, they fire a low alarm that never switches off, and your body braces against it. The first thing it braces is your jaw. All night, every night.

That is why your scans kept coming back clean. Muscular TMJ never shows on a scan, the joint is fine, and the damage shows up wherever the clench comes out. That's your teeth.

A muscle locked this long strangles its own blood supply, so it can't let go on its own. Nuca does the four things it needs at once: 26° traction opens the compression, EMS moves the frozen muscle and quiets the signal, heat restores the blood supply, and massage loosens the armor on top.

A static cradle just presses with your bodyweight. It can't contract the muscle, pump blood, or interrupt the nerve signal driving your clench. A muscle this locked has to be moved, not just pressed, and that takes power.

Real relief

TMJ Sufferers who Stopped Clenching

Your recovery timeline

What to expect as the tension releases

Day 1–3

First release

A deep good ache as the locked muscles let go, then a lighter jaw next morning.

Day 4–7

The clench weakens

The signal driving the clench fades. Fewer morning headaches, deeper sleep.

Week 2–3

The cycle breaks

Wake up with a relaxed jaw. No more nightly grinding, eat on both sides again.

Week 4+

Lasting relief

Ten minutes keeps the muscles loose for good. Relief that holds.

Real results, real people

91%

reported better sleep, no more 4am jolt

Why nothing else held

Nuca vs everything you have already tried

Your jaw is the bulb. Your neck is the frayed wire behind the wall. Everything on this list was a new bulb. The wire kept shorting.

NucaNight guardBotoxMassageFoam pad
Opens the compression (26° traction)
Moves the frozen muscle (EMS)
Restores the blood supply (heat)
Loosens the armor on top (massage)
One-time cost
10 min a day at home

Anything that does one of these without the other three is leaning on the door instead of opening it.

The math

What one year of "managing" this costs

Jaw Botox, four visits$4,800
A new night guard$800
One crown$2,400
Checkups and specialist visits$600
The ibuprofen, the parking, the gas$200
One year of managing the symptom$8,800+
Fixing the source$99. Once.

Every treatment above manages the clench. None of them has a finish line.

DAY

Use it for 90 nights, risk-free

If your jaw, neck or sleep is not better, email us for a full refund, no questions asked, and you do not ship anything back.

It's 90 days for a reason. A neck that has been locked for years doesn't open in a week, and you should have enough time to actually feel it let go.

Every guard, every injection, every crown you have paid for was non-refundable. This is the first thing on that list where the risk sits with us, not you.

FAQ

Common questions

My scans came back clean and every doctor says it's stress. Will this still work?
Clean scans are exactly the profile Nuca was built for. A scan looks at the joint, and in muscular TMJ the joint is fine. It's the locked deep neck muscles driving the clench, and no image can show a locked muscle. A clean scan doesn't mean nothing is wrong. It means nothing is broken. It's locked, and a lock can be opened. One honest note: if you've been told your disc is displaced or the joint itself is damaged, that is the other kind of TMJ, and this device is not built for that. We'd rather tell you that now than after.
What do I do with my night guard and my Botox appointments?
Keep the guard for now. Two different jobs: the guard protects your teeth from the clench, Nuca switches the clench off by opening the neck that gives the order. Most people leave it in the nightstand drawer for the first few weeks. Somewhere around week three you open that drawer, look at it, and realize you're only keeping it out of habit. For Botox, don't cancel anything on our say-so. Most people simply stop rebooking once the mornings stay quiet.
What happens if I stop using it?
Fair question, because everything you've tried before was life support. The Botox wears off, every time, and the guard only works the nights it's in, because they hold the jaw for you while the neck keeps giving the order. Nuca opens the neck that gives the order, so the release holds. Most people go from nightly use to a few nights a week once the mornings stay quiet, just to keep the neck where it belongs. Your day is still spent at a screen, and that is what put it there in the first place.
My jaw has been like this for over ten years. Will it still work?
Length of time matters less than what is actually wrong. If your scans came back clean, nothing is broken. You have a lock, and locks open. A neck that has been compressed for ten years does take longer to let go than one at two years, and that is exactly why the guarantee is 90 days and not 30. You should have enough time to actually feel it release.
How is it different from the cheap foam pads on Amazon?
A foam pad only presses with your bodyweight. Make a fist and squeeze, then press on it as hard as you like. It doesn't open. Right instinct, wrong target. A pad can't contract the muscle, pump blood back into it, or interrupt the nerve signal driving your clench. That's one of the four things a locked neck needs, and leaving three undone is why it re-locks by morning, every time.
Can I use it in bed?
Yes, and that's where most people use it. Ten minutes before sleep is the point, because it switches the order off before you sleep on it. The base is non-slip so it stays where you put it. One thing worth knowing: the 26° traction needs something firm to pull against. On a normal mattress you're fine. If yours is very soft or a pillow-top, use it on the floor with a mat or a folded blanket instead, or on the couch.
Battery, charging and what is in the box
Rechargeable by USB-C, with roughly two hours of run time on a full charge. At ten minutes a night that's around ten sessions per charge, so you're charging it about once a week. In the box: the Nuca device, the hands-free remote, the USB-C cable, and your three free gifts.
What if it does not work for me?
You have 90 days. Use it every night, and if your jaw, neck or sleep is not better, email us for a full refund, no questions, and you keep the device. The risk is on us.
How fast is shipping?
Ships within 24 hours, and shipping is free. Due to high demand, delivery is currently taking around 6 to 12 days.
Do you sell this on Amazon?
No. To keep the price fair and protect quality, we sell exclusively here on our own site, never on marketplaces.
